This is a little known gorge that weaves its torturous way down from the high moorland behind Llan Ffestiniog to end up at the beautiful Maentwrog valley

Painted during the covid lockdown when I was restricted to painting subjects in my garden

where weddings take place at regular intervals

knowing full well that behind that curtain of cloud is a massive wall of rock 3000 feet high

and I've painted or drawn it many times
